Saturday should be a great day for flying falcons and enjoying a bright sunny day! It will be cold as we begin, but will warm up as the day progresses.

Scott Larsen and Murphy's Law!
Scott Larsen and "Dakota" tallied first in the preliminary round with an excellent flight, but then Murphy helped Scott fly "Yoda." On the first flight, a pigeon escaped from a falconers truck and Dakota stooped it instead of the intended pigeon.
On a reflight Dakota was flying wide, but was climbing and was finally working his way back to the towards the judges when all of the sudden he raced across the sky to where a falconer was flying his falcon to the balloon about a mile away!
Please be considerate of other falconers as we fly. If you wish to leave the sky trials to train your birds, please go 10 miles line of sight , or fly in Cedar Valley or simply wait until all flights are flown.
