The table below shows a fair comparison of some Olympic triathlons in California. As a past and current participant in some of these events I came to the conclusion to create the Windman Triathlon in the best possible and easy to access central location in California free of traffic including a Comfort Inn at the event course.
The San Luis drinking water reservoir is a huge man made lake that supports the irrigation for most farmers in the big valley where we all get most of our meat, fruits and vegetables. The water is clear and warm. The air is pure. No traffic. The roads are newly paved in and around this San Luis State Park. The running trails provide a spectacular view of the reservoir and surroundings.
