Just wanted to drop a quick email to let you know that you put on a fantastic event.  I've done 16 triathlons over the years and many have become too big. But the Windman is different.  You've brought soul back into triathlon!  Not a big circus, just you and a few good souls out having a good time against the elements.  Thanks again for taking the time to put on such a fun event.
R. Batterson, Los Gatos 4/15/06----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Thanks for putting on a wonderful race on Sunday. The location was beautiful and right off I-5 - very convenient. The swim course was set up nicely and I never felt trapped in a crowd. The bike course was open country roads. My favorite part was the run - a slightly hilly loop out on the trail. A great setting, cool temperatures and no rain! Thanks again for a fun and challenging triathlon!  H. Facer, Lafayette  4/12/06 -----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Thank you for organizing a great event last Sunday. I had an excellent time. It was a beautiful location with an interesting course.  C. Darcy, San Francisco 4/12/06------------------------------------------

I wanted to thank you and your team of volunteers for putting on such a great event. This happened to be my first triathlon and what a great time.Prefect weather, swim a little cold, bike was challenging with the water crossing and big hill climbs, run was fun so all in all great course with wonderful people. As you mentioned cheaper cost, smaller venue, and big fun.  See you next year. B. Honeycutt , Discovery Bay 4/11/06-------------------------------------------

Thank you. It was a really fun event. I wanted to personally thank you for the event. If possible, I like to do that for the race directors. I know that on race days, people don't always either take the time or think to do that, but I know that you have to take a lot of time to coordinate everything, so you deserve lots of thanks from all of us. If you all were notaround, I know we wouldn't have events. Even though that sounds stupid, we all know it's true. E. Shimizu, Dixon 4/11/06--------------------------

Thanks for posting the results so fast. J. Silk, Pleasanton 4/12/06------------------------------------------------

I had such a blast and will be returning. The ditch was great! Thanks for the fun. > J Caro, Felton 4/15/06--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

I just wanted to write you a note to say thanks for the fun race. My wife and I competed in the event and we both had a blast. She, being the experienced triathlete, did the Olympic distance and I ran the sprint. Yes, the water was chilly but I still think that Donner Lake was at least as cold last year. This is only my third triathlon (Donner Lake 2005 and Pyramid Lake 2005 – both sprints) but I am getting into this type of event and we plan on competing again next year (both doing the Olympic distance next year). D. Blackett, Reno NV 4/10/06------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

First of all, thanks for putting on a very fun event.  I really enjoy the smaller races with a family type feel.  M. Ingardia, Sunnyvale  4/10/06------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

I enjoyed myself , and would be happy to come again...Swim was great...marked well and visible....cold..but we knew that ! Bike...The route was enjoyable...broken up enough that we did not have time to get board....Run....Challenging...the loops , again , helped by giving us a gauge as to how we were doing...well marked , with plenty of water... L. Phillips, Murphys 4/10/06----------------

Thanks for putting on this event.  It was a sweet little event even if the water was a little cool;  I was one of those people who did it without wetsuit. My daughter, son-in-law and I plan to be back next year. S. Leader, Sebastpool, 4/10/06

Hi, I wanted to say thanks for putting on a great event. Every now and then you do a triathlon which reminds you why you got in the sport in the first place. This was such an event out in the country just you and the course to conquer without the hype, crowds, traffic, hassles etc of many other events that are out there. Great job,          Russ Jones ( Union City, CA  on 10/12/2005)                --------------------------------------------------------------------

We  had a great time at the triathlon yesterday!!  It was my first one and for fun I wanted to know
my race results.  Jennifer West (Ojai, CA on 10/11/2005)                                                            ---------------------------------------------------------------------

Just a note to thank you for a very interesting race. .......... By the way, I loved the water hazard on the bike course. ... All in all, very challenging: hills, wind, rough trails and thewater hazard. The only thing missing was some big surf! I will be recommending the race to a great many of my fellow triathletes for next year. Again, thanks for a great event.

Dennis Rodgers (Concord, CA 10/16/2005)

This was my favorite race last year ... but I had knee surgery two weeks ago and won't be ready in time. Thanks and keep up the good work. Peter Licari ( 3/1/06 )

Thank you for the Tri, The water was so very cold but we cannot confine nature. I really enjoyed the bike ride and run. The Tri was great and had challenges from the downhill speed runs to the wind coming back with the great 4 mile accent coming back. The run was also a kick. Very nice trails and some hills. One was always challenged throughout the race. A pleasure to have a course where one is never in complete control or rythmn. Thank you for your effort and hard work. I will be there next year and have some new folks enter.
Again, thanks and it was a blast!!  Regards,

I also want to say that of all the triathlons I hve done, which are many since I have been in this sport since 1983, this particular one had the most character!! I loved the race numbers edged with duct tape, I loved your maps, and I loved the way you made us all get in swim so you make sure we all could really swim!!!! i have already told many about your great race and the great course!! I will definitely be there next year!! thanks again,
Andrea Ivan (Palo Alto,11/05/02)

Yesterday, I competed in your Triathlon. Great job! It was one hell of a tough course!... Thanks for doing this race on a Sunday too, which in my opinion, is the best day for these races. I have a team of five training triathletes that I will bring with my next year - if you have the race again - which I hope that you do. I also can offer a couple of volunteers to help out too starting at out 5:30AM race day. Again, thanks for a fun, CHALLENGING, and hilly course. Your hills and course layout was great, definitely very different than a lot of other races. Great job, and I hope to see you next year! I can't wait! - Mike Canul (San Jose,10/28/02)

thanks for an excellent triathlon i really enjoyed it.
It is my pleasure to support you and the event. The event was excellent and I had much more fun than I expected. You did really well, especially for a first time event. Great time and great memories..... The setting, by the way, was really spectacular.... Thanks,
Tim Walsh (New York, 11/16/02) :

thanks for putting on the race. It was evident that you had put much personal time and effort into making it a safe and rewarding race. My two friends that came along with me also commented that the race was very "grass roots" and the main focus was for people to have fun and enjoy the race.
Ricardo Gonzalez (Los Altos,11/1/02)

I just wanted to say thanks for organizing the Windman
Triathlon this past Sunday. San Luis Resevoir turned
out to be an excellent venue, and I certainly had a
lot of fun...Hope you do it again next year. Best regards,
