NorthStar Appaloosas is operated by Kyle and Sue Magnuson (2KS- NorthStar) and our daughter and son-in-law, Karisa and Larry Larsen, (LK- NorthStar). We enjoy the challenge and satisfaction of producing quality foals and the fun of trail riding. Most all our adult horses are broke to ride and take their turn on the trails. Trail riding is not only one of our favorite pastimes, but it also helps us know the abilities of our horses so we can make better decisions in our breeding program.

Our foals are handled from birth and have a very people-oriented disposition. They come from trail-proven backgrounds and famous foundation bloodlines. Please note that 2007 saw the beginning of the first and only purebred Appaloosa breed registry for the original Appaloosa bloodlines- the International Purebred Appaloosa Association (IPAA). We have updated these sections to reflect our commitment to the ideals of IPAA and the purebred Appaloosa Horse.
